Marcy weaves, spins, knits and occasionally dyes. Her work is mostly examples for her teaching and writing, and one-of-a-kind pieces for exhibits. Her love for fiber dates back to her childhood when she learned hand-stitching from her paternal grandmother in her native Italy. She later learned that her maternal Lithuanian grandmother spun linen for house hold textiles. It must be in her genes.
