Guild of America, Inc.
Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. is an
international, nonprofit, membership organization dedicated to upholding excellence
in handmade textiles, promoting and preserving textile art and its heritage
around the world. HGA publishes the award winning Shuttle Spindle &
Dyepot,
and sponsors Convergence, the biennial fiber conference. It also provides a variety of other educational programs.
Marcy has been an HGA member since 1978; she has
served on the Board of Directors, and is a past president of the organization.
She continues to be active in HGA’s educational programs and supports its Fiber Trust. She currently serves on HGA's advisory board and she is a contributing special features writer for Shuttle Spindle &
Dyepot with the column Right from the Start.
